Coconut Laddu using Khoya (Mawa)

Khoya can be made easily at home using full cream milk. Recipe for the same will be available shortly on my blog. Coconut (Nariyal) Laddus using Khoya is also one of the easiest  dessert recipes.

Ingredients for approximately 8-10 pieces normal size

  1. Homemade Khoya - 3 Spoon
  2. Dry coconut powder 50 gm (Keep 3-4 spoons separately for rolling)
  3. Sugar Powder - 25 gm
  4. Almonds for topping
  5. 1 tablespoon Melt butter
  6. Milk - 2-3 spoons if required for making soft dough

Method for Preparation-


  1. Take khoya in bowl and crumb it with fingers.
  2. Add sugar powder and coconut powder in khoya.
  3. Mix it and make a soft dough. if required use milk to make a soft dough.
  4. Apply butter in your palms and make round shape laddu.
  5. Spread remaining coconut powder in a plate and roll the laddus over the powder one by one so that proper coating is applied on each laddu.
  6. Split almond in two pieces with knife. Put one piece of almond on each laddu for topping.
  7. Serve them in a plate or place them in a muffin liner.

Shelf Life-
When refrigerated it can be consumed for 4-5 days.

Tips -

1. Sugar powder can be made at home by grinding the crystal sugar.
2. Toppings can be done with cherry or tutti fruity.
