Cucumber Mint chhachh

Chhachh is Indian drink which is prepared from curd. This is also called mattha, lassi and butter milk.

Chhachh is very easy to make and has lots of health benefits. It cools and nourishes the body and drives away the heat. It improves digestion system and keeps heart healthy. It is also helpful in acidity control.Thus it can be served with meal all the year round.

Chhachh is already a healthy drink and when it is made with some spices, its taste is doubled. Spices like cumin powder, black salt which are added in chhachh also have great health benefits.

Here I am sharing cucumber mint chhachh recipe which gives refreshing effect in summer, is good for health and delicious too.


Ingredients: serving for 2
  1. Curd : 1 cup
  2. Mint leaves: 10 leaves
  3. Cucumber : 1 medium sized chopped
  4. Cumin powder: 2 tsp
  5. Black salt: As per taste
  6. Asofetida: 1 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves : For garnish
  8. Water: As required
Method of Preparation:
  1. Take mint leaves and wash it properly and also do the same for cucumber.
  2. Now take mint leaves in grinder  jar and add some water and grind it in smooth paste.
  3. Now strain this mint paste in a pot or bowl.
  4. Now take cucumber, peel off its skin and cut in to small pieces.
  5. Take this in to grinder jar and make smooth paste.
  6. Put cucumber paste in the pan in which mint leaves paste has been strained.
  7. Now add curd, spice and water and Blend this whole mixture with hand blender or electric blender.
  8. Take it out in serving glass,garnish with coriander leaves and sprinkle some cumin powder hing and serve chilled.

Tips:


  1. You can adjust spice as per your taste buds.
